Mirror's Edge Ships for PC, DLC on Jan 29th, Patch 1.01 Out! |

Electronic Arts has announced that the PC version of DICE's critically acclaimed "virtual parkour" game Mirror's Edge has today shipped to retail stores in North America. The rest of the world will get their hands on the game on January 16th. Downloadable content (DLC) will be available for purchase on January 29th for PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. Still no word on the PC demo.
Update: DICE has released a patch which fixes a potential freezing issue when PhysX is enabled.

Along with a hands-on preview article IGN is hosting three new Mirror's Edge PC version gameplay videos. Official release date for the PhysX-enhanced PC version is January 13th. Just a few more days to go!

GameSpot got some hands-on gameplay time with the PC version of Mirror's Edge, available in the middle of January 2009. The PC version naturally has a few differences to the console versions, such as mouse/keyboard controls, improved graphics with greater display and texture resolutions, and enhanced physics effects (PhysX). In closing GameSpot says that if they had to choose which platform they would play Mirror's Edge on they would play it on the PC.

NVIDIA and DICE have released another PhysX technology preview video. The video shows a side-by-side comparison of several gameplay scenes with GPU PhysX off and on.
In other news... DICE's Fredrik Thylander has officially confirmed on our forums the minimum PC specifications needed to run the game.
