During CES, EA & NVIDIA hosted some daily time trial tournaments to determine the fastest Mirror’s Edge runner. Some awesome prizes were on offer including NVIDIA graphics cards and a Mirror’s Edge themed notebook. Congratulations to all the winners! Here are some pics from the event.

This new PhysX driver v9.09.0010 from NVIDIA fixes a potential system crash when NVIDIA PhysX is enabled. For best PhysX experience install the latest v181.20 official GeForce drivers first, then update PhysX to version 9.09.0010 and finally update Mirror's Edge to v1.01. PC Mirror's Edge is out and the reviews are in. The PC version gets a nice 8.5/10 plus a Editor's Choice Award from IGN, a 83% score from PC Gamer UK magazine, a great 9/10 from Videogamer and Bit-Tech, a 7/10 from GameSpot and a solid 8/10 from Eurogamer. IGN has also put up a video review of the game. Thanks to M7 for the PC Gamer UK review info.

Electronic Arts has announced that the PC version of DICE's critically acclaimed "virtual parkour" game Mirror's Edge has today shipped to retail stores in North America. The rest of the world will get their hands on the game on January 16th. Downloadable content (DLC) will be available for purchase on January 29th for PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. Still no word on the PC demo.
Update: DICE has released a patch which fixes a potential freezing issue when PhysX is enabled.
