Here i will be posting the devellopment of my Mirrors Edge custom map:
I'm still looking for a name so please post any of your examples you come up with.

Looks promising. Maybe you can make a map where the only goal is getting through. Like windrunner.

Anyway, could you please tell me how you got the models/objects (fences, scaffolding, etc) in your map?
Haven't found a tutorial about doing that...

mh ok i'll try:
-at the top of the editor theres a blue logo with white crossed stripes with the name "generic browser" click on that.
-a window should popup
-click on "file" then "open"
-go to (in my case):
computer- program files- eagames -mirrors edge- Tdgame - CookedPC - props
there you can choose ingame models but lets choose the same one: rooftops.upk
then you get a list of green squares, then lightblue and finaly red or purple
the lighblue squares are models
-select a model (double click, it gets highlighted when selected)
-go back to your 3d map view
-right click
- add actor
-add staticmesh.... ( the highest thing you can choose)

Yeah that was exactly what I mean. Getting from point one to point B no matter which way you take, or how long you need.

You should enable bForceMipStreaming so textures won't look blurry on static meshes. I think it's under rendering in the properties. (must be set to each static mesh, but you can quickly select them all if you right click on one of them).

Select a mesh, hit F4 (this brings upő the properties window). It's a tab under StaticMeshActor (in which you find bForceMipStreaming).

I'm not sure about a release date, it could be one month, maybe three months, i don't know

I added the details of my map recently and you can expect a video of the current version tomorrow. ![]()
This video will include the folowing new stuff (compared to my previous map)
- background sound
- other sounds (you will see)
- ofcourse new buildings ( also added a few new shortcuts, it's up to you to find them :p)
- i improved the quality of all the textures ![]()
you can also expect a part of the map where you need to go inside one of the buildings
